VENICE ARCHITECTURE BIENNALE 2010

The 12th International Architecture
Exhibition, directed by Kazuyo Sejima, will be held from August 29th to November 21st 2010, at the Giardini and at the Arsenale (preview August 26, 27 and 28, 2010), and in various other venues in Venice.

The design restaurant, CENTRALE RESTAURANT LOUNGE is a great example of contemporary venetian interiors for lovers of architecture and good food.

Projected by Mariano Zanon, in a historical building of '500 in the heart of the district of San Marco, the venue elegantly shows the materials that represent the soul technical and functional of Venice.
Captured in their emotional energy, they are contrasted in elegant abstract arrangaments and linked by the single common feature of the flooring in gloss-finished cement.

The glass bar counter is illuminated with different changing colors (NORDLIGHT) and spread light to the large central space, changing in color and intensity. This functional block, halfway between a furnishing item and a luminous piece of architecture, is joined by the wardrobe, also in glass, which filters the reception area, also glazed with accommodation of PHILIPPE STARCK. The lounge area has pouffs around the low level glass tables and sofas for JOSEFF HOFFMANN for ALIVAR.

In the restaurant area, the anthracite ceilings disappear to make room for a splendid wooden ceiling that is just marginally marked by a row of suspended spotlights. The red brick in the back wall is interrupted by the sofa with fabric of MISSONI.

Licentious the bathroom in steel and cement, well tufted capitonné settees and glass tables with material legs in iron. Lunar chairs lunar signed KONSTANTIN GRCIC.
Everything inside the venue creates a warm feeling of intimacy, enhanced by candlelight.

Near the Teatro La Fenice and San Marco Square, the restaurant offers the best fish dishes and meat according to the Venetian tradition, revisited.
